With a little patience and practice, there is no reason why anyone cannot make beautiful and delicious pâtisserie - it is simply a matter of being shown properly.  Our recipes are designed to do just that with easy-to-follow, step by step methods.

Whole foods and natural ingredients.  Our recipes prioritise the use of natural quality ingredients to achieve real flavour.  There is no need to rely on any artificial colours or flavours.  We explain which ingredients help to minimise our impact on the environment, and allow us to incorporate our love for cakes and desserts into a clean eating and health conscious lifestyle.

We love cooking and eating great food but as working parents with a young daughter to look after, we know what it’s like when time is at a premium.  

Also, in recent years we have changed the way we eat.  We have learned more about the many harmful practices that have established themselves as the accepted normality in food production over the last few decades or more.  We do not want to eat food made from ingredients that contain harmful chemicals or have been produced using unethical or environmentally damaging practices.

Our ethos is that good food is measured by quality and not by quantity.  Cake and dessert are an indulgence -  making and eating them should bring joy!  When you treat yourself, make sure it is something of quality that you can really enjoy and savour.

Faye has taken her experience and professional knowledge as a pastry chef to create our recipes and classes.  Faye started out as a home baker so knows the frustration of things going wrong or recipes that don’t work as they should!

Faye trained as a pastry chef at Le Cordon Bleu and has worked in hotels, restaurants, cafes, catering businesses as well as run a home-based novelty cake business.  Faye has also worked as a pastry chef consultant to bakery businesses.  Faye was the head pastry chef and joint founder of Sweet Elements Pâtisserie, where we made many thousands of desserts in hundreds of varieties.

I don’t have time to make desserts from scratch.

We can show how you can! One of the important features of our e-book is that we explain how you can prepare in advance at a time that fits in with your schedule and then how to store the prepared elements until you need them. This makes assembly on the day a simple and quick process.

 

They look too complicated and I’m not very experienced

We have deliberately kept the desserts straightforward, not only so that they can be made when life is busy but also to make them accessible for anyone to enjoy. In the E-Book each dessert has no more than 3 elements and none of the elements are difficult to make.  We have also made each recipe very user friendly and easy to follow, even if you are not very experienced.

 

How do I know the recipes will work?

All our recipes have been tried and tested by us before being published so you can be assured of their quality.  We know how frustrating it can be to use a recipe and find it difficult to follow or worse still, not work!  Anyone who visited our patisserie will tell you that our attention to detail and quality were exceptional and we have applied those same standards to the writing of our recipes.
